Payment collection tips for travel agencies

Cash flow is the hardest part of running a travel agency. You often pay hotels and airlines before the traveller has paid you in full. A clear collection process protects your margin.

Take an advance to confirm

Ask for an advance before you block hotels or buy tickets. A payment link makes this easy to pay at the moment the traveller says yes.

Agree the schedule upfront

For larger trips, agree the instalments and dates when you confirm the booking, for example an advance, a second payment 30 days before travel, and the balance before final vouchers. Putting the schedule in the CRM means reminders go out on time.
