Travel glossary
DMC (Destination Management Company)
A DMC is a company based in a destination that provides local ground services, such as hotels, transfers, sightseeing, guides and events, usually to travel agents and tour operators from other countries.
DMCs have deep local knowledge and supplier relationships. A travel agent in India selling a Dubai package will often buy the ground arrangements from a Dubai-based DMC and add flights and a margin.
DMCs typically work B2B, handle many partner enquiries at once, and care about fast, accurate costing.
